Because if they kept buying oil during a global supply crunch, the world's economy would have been at risk of crashing. They did the same in 2008, by NOT cooperating with Russia (and in fact snitching on us). They actually don't want to rock the boat. No thanks for it thosucks: why did China stop buying oil?
